SPORTS WEEKEND 2012

All Former Pupils, Parents and Friends of Dollar Academy are warmly invited once again to attend Sports Weekend 2012.

 

The format will be much the same as that of previous years.  Prep School Sports take place on Thursday 21 June in the afternoon.  Junior School Sports will be held in the afternoon of Friday 22 June, with the Senior competitions taking place on Saturday 23 June. 

 

Cats is the Senior School Musical, and will take place this year on 19-22 June at The Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline.  Tickets can be purchased directly from the Alhambra Theatre on 01383 740384, www.alhambradunfermline.com.

The marquee will once again be situated beside the Maguire Building this year.  Parents, Former Pupils, Staff and Friends of Dollar Academy will be made very welcome in the marquee throughout the day on the Saturday. 

 

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served for a small donation, as well as sandwiches and cold drinks at lunch time.  The Pipe Band will open the Senior Athletics Championships as usual.

 

Supper and Music in the Marquee will be held on Saturday evening of Sports Weekend.  This is a ticket-only event which is open to Staff, Parents, Former Pupils and Friends of Dollar Academy.  The band this year will be Big Vern ‘n’ The Shootahs, a nine piece soul band from Glasgow, which proved very popular a few years ago.

The pipe band will perform after the Church Service on the Sunday.  We are sure the display will be as wonderful as ever, and this year we hope it will take place in glorious sunshine.

 

We hope to see as many of you as possible over the course of the weekend; this is a marvellous opportunity to meet up with friends old and new.  If you have not been back to Dollar for a while, we would be particularly pleased to see you.
