Charities Week in aid of “Help Imogen See” Campaign

On Monday 22nd June, the well established Charities Week begins.  Numerous activities are taking place.   The week will start with the unmissable football match between teachers and the Charities Committee at lunch time.  Wednesday will see the entertaining and popular Wacky Races, which this year has the theme of Mario Kart.  On Thursday (car owners pay attention), you will have the chance to leave the school that day with a gleaming car.  On Friday, everybody will have the opportunity to purchase a Fairy Godmother for the afternoon.  Finally, on Monday 29th June, we have the Junior School Football Tournament.

Our chosen charity this year is the “Help Imogen See” Campaign.  Imogen is a 2 year old girl who lives in Dollar.  She was born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia which has caused blindness, developmental delay, low muscle tone and, therefore, she is not able to walk or stand without assistance.  This illness cannot be cured in the UK, but it can be treated in the Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital in the city of Hangzhou, China.  The family need to raise £30000 for this life changing operation.  We ask for everybody’s support for this worthy cause.
