The Team in Argyll House
Argyll House is a family home for 23 girls in Form I to form VI. Mr and Mrs Welsh work hard to ensure all the girls are happy and thriving. They are aided by an enthusiastic team of two house tutors and six assistant house staff. Mr Welsh has taught in the History and Modern Studies department at Dollar since 2005 and in addition to working as part of Dollar’s guidance team, he has spent four years as the resident tutor in the boys’ boarding house, McNabb & Tait. Mrs Welsh is also a teacher and she is currently on maternity leave whilst she takes care of their beautiful daughter, Sarah. The final member of the Welsh family is a golden labrador, Logan, who is currently enjoying life as the Argyll House pet, a truly pampered pooch.
Ryan Tricia & Sarah Welsh. Houseparents since August 2011. Ryan is a History and Modern Studies teacher at Dollar Academy. Tricia is a Pupil Support Teacher, currently on maternity leave.
The house would not be able to be such a success without the daily support of the rest of the Argyll House team, the two house tutors and six assistant house staff who help to take care of the girls and ensure all their needs are met.
