One of the first Sundays of the new session saw all the boarders of Dollar Academy get together at McNabb & Tait House for a fun-filled afternoon with lots of team challenges, tasty food and fun. Girls and boys of all ages (9 up to almost 19) worked together in teams to complete obstacle courses and races. One of the highlights of the day was the Tug-O-War, which the teams fought in a knock-out system. All the boarders’ endeavours and hard work were not just rewarded by the weather – it actually stayed dry for a few hours in the afternoon, but also by lots of pizza and ice-cream, organised by Mr and Mrs McFadyean.
“We had a great day, and the activities gave us the opportunity to get to know all the boarders in the other houses and to mix with boarders of all ages. Thank you to all the house parents and staff for organising this event.” (Senior girls)
