Senior Get Together „Oktoberfest“

at Argyll House on 8th October 2010

 

 

Argyll House was, once again, host to an extremely successful and enjoyable „Oktoberfest“ Get Together for the Senior pupils of the boarding community.  The house was decorated with traditional Bavarian Colours and the guests were asked to dress up for the occasion.  Dr Brooks stole the show with his impressive „Lederhosen“.  There was plentiful German beer, German sausages and Sauerkraut.  The guests were also treated to a competition of strength.  The task was to hold a jug of water in each hand, arms outstretched, for as long as possible.  The Rector managed to beat us all!  Towards the end of the night, a limbo competition was set up; not very German but still fun.
