Christmas

Christmas is a huge occasion in the boarding community. At the beginning of December, all the Christmas decorations go up, and the House looks very festive in time for the Argyll Christmas Party.  The girls invite some members of staff from the school and organise an evening with fun and games that usually goes on until late. The party generally starts with dorm plays, which are original and incredibly entertaining. This year, the prize for most entertaining play was won by the Juniors of the House, whose play about the “Smit Family” showed a lot of acting talent and got the whole audience involved. The prize for the best poster went to the “Santa Babes”, Form IV, who produced an exact drawing of Argyll House that accompanied their song about all the members of the Argyll family.  Party games followed, food, carols around the Christmas tree, team quizzes, Father Christmas, more games and then, reluctantly, sleep…  A big “Thank you” to everyone for contributing to this event and making it a great night for both the girls and the guests.
