Senior Get Together in Argyll on 26 October 07: Oktoberfest

Now in its second year, the 'Oktoberfest' senior get together hosted by Argyll House went off without a hitch.  With a variety of German outfits and traditional Bavarian colours hanging from the walls, all the stops were pulled out and Mr Daniel managed to wow us with his outstanding effort in dressing up.  All houses took part in an endurance competition, where two jugs of water were held with outstretched arms for the longest possible time.  Although they did not win, the Argyll boarders put up a fair fight with one of the girls coming close to beating McNabb-Tait (the overall winners).  The night was full of enjoyment, and the authentic food and beer could not have been closer to the real thing at the Munich Oktoberfest. Dr and Mrs Brooks are to be applauded for making the night so much fun.
