£48,000 to Charity
Dollar Academy has presented the proceeds from its recent sponsored walk to six charities, who each receive £8000. Representatives from Sight Savers International, Nutrir, Depression Alliance, Brainwave, Rachel House and Beatson Oncology Centre visited the Academy on Wednesday 12 December to collect the cheques.
The walk, which took place on Friday, 28 September, involved every member of the school community. The beneficiaries are delighted; the money will make a real difference both locally and abroad.
