About DAPA

The Dollar Academy Parents' Association exists to represent and to act for the parents collectively in any matter pertaining to Dollar Academy and the Governors of Dollar Academy Trust. The Association does not take up individual parents' cases or grievances unless they are deemed to affect the interests of parents collectively. It specifically does not intervene between parent on the one hand and school on the other. We are always happy to hear from you with any bright ideas, beneficial suggestions and general issues you may wish to air within our forum. These will be addressed at our regular meetings with the school's representative, Deputy Rector Mr Daniel. In addition to this formal role, the Parents' Association hosts a number of social events, which allow parents to meet and to chat, and it has a presence at school events such as the Careers Convention, Information Evenings and Sports Weekend.

A committee member is elected from DAPA to the Board of Governors. The present governor is Mrs Debbie Weir.
