Sports Weekend 2007

Despite the forecast, Prep School Sports and Junior School Sports went ahead in fine weather on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 June. Unfortunately the forecast was rather more accurate for Saturday.

Parents, Former Pupils and friends of Dollar Academy met in the marquee throughout the day on Saturday. It was a welcome respite from the heavy showers which persisted. The sports, however, went ahead which was a great relief to all.

Supper and Music in the Marquee was the usual congenial evening. The live band, Counselled Out, provided excellent music for dancing and a good time was had by all.

Unfortunately the rain continued on Sunday, but at least the Pipe Band display was able to go ahead, albeit in the marquee. Well over ninety pipers and drummers of all ages took part in the display, which was much appreciated by the very large audience.
