Primary Maths Challenge
November 2007: 30 Junior School children took part in the annual Primary Maths Challenge organised by The Mathematical Association based in Leicester.
Gold Awards were won by: Innes McClelland and Angus Baillie-Hamilton
Silver Awards were won by: Madeleine Jamieson, Bethan Scott, Simon Cook and Alasdair Breasley
Bronze Awards were won by: Lewis MacLean, Julia Hurry, Alexandra MacKinnon, Anouska Pandya, Jack Smart, Sarah Hawkins, Rowan Quigley, Harris Aslam and Cameron Prentice
December 2007: Wait to find out if any of these ‘winners’ will be selected to take part in the PMC Finals in February 2008.
February 2008: Four participants successfully reached the PMC Finals – Angus Bailey-Hamilton, Madeleine Jamieson, Innes McClelland and Bethan Scott.
March 2008: We are pleased to be able to announce the
Finals Results: The Mathematical Association acknowledged that this year’s paper was harder than those set in previous years. All four of our finalists, therefore, are to be congratulated on their pleasing results.
All four received Finals Certificates, with special congratulations extended to Angus Bailey-Hamilton, whose bronze certificate and medal were presented to him at the Prep and Junior Assembly on Thursday 21st March.
