Dollar Academy Thrift Shop

The Thrift Shop is situated in the basement of the Prep School by the outside stairs and is open on the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 2.30pm – 4.00pm.

Lost Property

We sell good quality uniform and sports items with the seller receiving 80% of the ticketed price if the item sells within a three-year period. The remaining 20% is donated to the school to provide items that will benefit the whole pupil community.

The Thrift Shop sells:
- All items on the current uniform list, including sports wear, but excluding school shoes
- Sports shoes of all types, including walking and corps boots
- Men’s’ and boys’ kilts and accessories
- Ski clothing and accessories

We no longer take:
- Skis or ski boots
- Party dresses
- Protective helmets of any kind

Please ensure that all items handed in for sale are clean and that the pockets are empty. We have been getting very muddy boots handed in; these are horrible for the volunteers to process and in future will be returned or sold at a much-reduced price.

A Plea for Boys' Kilts and Black Kilt Jackets
The Thrift Shop has a very low stock of boys' kilts and black kilt jackets of all sizes. If you have a kilt that no longer fits, (especially larger sizes) we should be grateful if you could hand them in.
