Pride & Prejudice at Dollar

Dollar Academy Senior pupils have received rave reviews for their production of ‘Pride and Prejudice’, which was staged to a public audience over three nights in the school’s assembly hall between the 21st and 23rd March.
The Senior School play, an adaption of Jane Austen’s classic romantic comedy, was beautifully set with period costumes. The cast, which included pupils from Forms IV, V and VI, impressed with their convincing portrayal of the main characters in an enjoyable staging which enthralled the audiences.
Mr Peter Russell, Head of Drama at Dollar Academy, commented: “We are very pleased with how positively this play has been received. The hard work and efforts of all those pupils involved has paid off and they should feel immensely proud of their performance. We are very fortunate to offer drama on the curriculum at Dollar and I’m delighted with how enthusiastically our pupils approach these opportunities to be involved in a production.”
