Crest Awards

Form IV pupil Rebecca Chroston recently won a Silver Crest Award at the BA Crest Awards in London.  Her project, ‘H5N1 – When, Not If’ dealt with the diagnostic processes relating to the disease commonly known as ‘bird flu’.  Her research related to accurate and rapid diagnosis so that treatment and prevention measures can be quickly and accurately targeted on outbreaks.   As a runner-up, Rebecca won a £600 prize for the Academy.
