Ready Steady Cook

A group of Junior 2 pupils enjoyed watching the skills of our two visiting chefs, Colin and Jacko, from Stirling Management Centre as they created some amazing dishes using the ingredients from the “goodie bags” provided. Each chef was given half an hour to cook a main course and a pudding then the pupils judged who was to win by choosing either the “green pepper” or “red tomato.” All the pupils had a chance to sample the finished dishes and were encouraged to try any food that they had not tasted before. During the demonstration Paul McGurl, the school Catering Manager, talked about his job as a chef and answered questions put to him by the pupils.
