Dollar Athletics Champions

Dollar Academy pupils are celebrating after winning the Champions School Shield at the Forth Valley Athletics Championships for the sixth year running.

The athletics tournament was held in Grangemouth Stadium on Thursday 24th May with pupils from schools across the Forth Valley competing.  Dollar Academy teams were captained by Jo George and Isla Cubitt, both FIII.   The final scores saw Dollar Academy in first position with 272 points.

Mr Martin Hose, PE teacher at Dollar Academy, commented:  "Our pupils did exceptionally well to win the shield this year.  The weather was beautiful, but this meant they were competing in very warm conditions.  The competition was fierce this year and we are very proud of their achievement."
