Flight details for 2009 will be published on this page before December 2008.
The morning following our arrival in Singapore we take a
short flight (45 minutes) from Singapore
to Tioman Island.
Once on the islands, all transport is by foot or by boat.
There is hardly any motorised
transport on the islands. So, if you don't like boats, then
this is not the trip for you! The boats are modelled on the
local fishing boats. They carry between a dozen and thirty
persons and travel at around 10 knots. There are toilets and bunk beds on board the boats, and some have air conditioning.
To return to Singapore, we take a high-speed ferry across to the Malaysian mainland and then a bus to Singapore. The whole trip takes around 8 hours.
